PCE Club - 39th Monthly Event
2006/11/18 6:30-9:30
PCE 39th Event
The November program will be a panel discussion. The panel is comprised of artists (Ms. Sharron Liu and her staff from the famous Sharron Art Center), parents and students. The club is very fortunate to have the support of Sharron Art Center. Ms. Liu and her staff will take time out of their very busy schedule to share their ideas, thoughts, suggestions and recommendations on how to raise an artistic child.
Creativity and arts are very important in children's development and communication. Einstein said the imagination was more important than knowledge. Arts teach children that problems can have more than one solution and that questions can have more than one answer. Arts teach children that there are many ways to see and interpret the world. Arts also teach students that small differences can have large effects. They help children learn to say what cannot be said.
Creativity cannot be taught; however, creativity is usually hidden and unintentional. How do we as parents help our children to bring out their inner creativity with their proper motor skills and thinking skills? I
am sure our panelists will have a lot to say in this regard. So please come and join us to have an enjoyable and meaningful evening on Saturday, November 18, 2006 in the Asian Cultural Center in Edison.
As usual, the event will start with children's talent show. Due to limited time available (45 minutes only), only pre-registered children can perform. Each performer may perform one piece of his or her choice no longer than three minutes. While the children are performing, we strongly request that all the audience show respect for the performers as well as other audience by keeping quiet. If your children would like to perform, you need to register for them by specifying their names and items to perform.
