活动内容: 在“me too” ,”movement “ 和 ”equal pay“ 的社会大环境下,我们真实感到对女孩子的教育特别重要。 怎样培养女孩子的自信心,女孩子在学校和社交中会面对什么样的以性别为基础的挑战?如何应对这些挑战?如何对待两性朋友关系? 如何提高自我保护意识? 最重要的是在这个成长过程中,家长如何和孩子建立良好信任感,沟通渠道,放手,相信孩子会做出好的选择。 五月份PCE 有幸请到PCE年会的"青少年实话实说"的曾经参加者 Sally和Michelle. 我们可以听到她们敞开心扉,真实表达她们的所思所想,和大家交流作为女性在校园里和社会交往中的真实经历和反思。 我们鼓励父母与teenager 孩子一同来听,了解校园现状, 与Sally和Michelle 一同讨论,相信会给家长和孩子都带来很多的启发和思考!

Panelists 简介:
Sally Fong is a Rutgers University graduate, with degrees in Psychology and Political Science. Today, she works as a consultant, focusing on change management and market research in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to her current position, Sally had worked extensively in education as a teacher and director of various academic programs. In her spare time, Sally enjoys playing volleyball, doing yoga, and travelling.

Michelle Fan is a junior at Rutgers University majoring in Cultural Anthropology and minoring in Gender and Media Studies under the Journalism department. Her hobbies include drawing, reading, and learning. She is guided by her passion for social justice and human rights. As a program intern for the Center for Women's Global Leadership, she researches women's human rights violations and measures to address and improve upon these situations. She hopes to dedicate her life to pursuing a just society for all.
