Dear All,
You are invited to join PCE Club (Parents and Children Education Club) 60th event on Aug. 15th, 16th and 17th 2008 - Exciting Wild Camping, Whitewater Rafting, Golfing, Hiking, Picnicking, Swimming at the Lake Beach � and more.
The Parents and Children Education Association or the PCE Club is a non-profit, non-religious and non-political educational organization. Its mission is to provide a learning and sharing platform for parents in developing the emotional intelligence of the parents and their children as well as helping to improve the communications between the parents and their children.
Its objectives are to focus on building children's self-confidence, social skills, public speech and leadership skills, promoting children's self-motivation, encouraging parents to expose their children to different areas so that they become more knowledgeable, promoting the growth of our EQ instead of just IQ.

Last few years, we organized 288 people rafting trip, 80 people Lake George trip, 160 rafting/camping trip etc. Last year we enjoyed camping and rafting with more than 25 families. This is going to be our 5th camping/rafting trip.

Note: Schedule for Rafting will be finalized after registration completion. No Raining date and cancellation after registration. An updated copy of the agenda will be sent to you before the trip. Good suggestions are welcome.
Day 1:
3 - 4 p.m. Check in (latest check in time: 10p.m, you can come after work.).
4 - 5 p.m. Setup Tent.
5 - 6 pm. Socializing and Networking.
6 - 8 pm. Dinner / Potluck.
8 - 9 pm. Icebreaker Name Game.
9 -10 pm. Poker Game for Poker lovers & other games.
10 pm. Sleep Tight, Don�t Let the Bugs Bite. J
Day 2:
8 - 9 a.m. Morning Exercise (Ta-chi, Yoga, jogging).
9 - 10 a.m. Breakfast.
10 - 12p.m.Games on Campsite: �Ba-He� contest.
12 - 1pm. Lunch
1 - 5pm. Rafting; Swimming at lake beach, Hiking�. your choice.

Day 3:

3. Where: White Haven, PA 18661 - Hickory Run State Park
The 15,500-acre Hickory Run State Park, Carbon County, lies in the western foothills of the Pocono Mountains. This large park has over 40 miles of hiking trails, three state park natural areas and miles of trout streams. The Boulder Field, a striking boulder-strewn area, is a National Natural Landmark.
Direction: From I-80, take Exit 274 at the Hickory Run State Park Exit, and drive east on PA 534 for six miles. From the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, take Exit 95 and drive west on PA 940 for three miles then turn east on PA 534 for six miles. The park is within a two or three-hour drive from Harrisburg, Philadelphia, and New York City and one hour from Allentown, Scranton and Wilkes-Barre.

4. Who: PCE Club welcome you and your Family, your friends to join us.
Each family needs to provide one volunteer to help organizing this event including, but not limited to the following team (If you are too busy to help, $20 per family must be donated and used to buy awards for kids game winners):
a) Organizing event committee (include making reservation, make plan, coordinate, answer the questions, paying bills, get head count etc)
b) Rafting committee (including arranging the boats, make fighting party to fight using water gun, racing game etc)
c) Camping committee (including setting up tent team, BBQ team, play game team, Karaoke team, campfire team, Fun team, safety team etc)
d) Accounting team (including collecting check, make registration form, head count etc)
The late registration person will be assigned to help on tough task.
Note: Each family will share the responsibilities of buying BBQ food, Utensils, game awards, games for kids ...etc. We will send out an email to assign you what to buy. The amount you pay will be calculated based on receipts and being reimbursed at campsite. We will send detail email later.
5. Pricing:
PCE member (paid yearly member fee) is base price and non-member is $10 extra per family. You are all welcome to become a PCE member: $60 per year per family.
Camping Price:
2 nights: $40 per tent (max: 4 people). 1 night: $20 per tent. If more than 4 people, it will count as 2 tents. Please consider it before you register.
*Important Note: We reserved 2 group campsites (will finalize upon registration completion), which have no electricity. However, we also reserved 4 family campsites with electricity, where we can use for cooking and blowing up the beds. The 4 families staying on the sites with electricity will need to help with the cooking. Please make sure staying on a non-electric campsite is not a problem for you before making the registration.
Exhilarating White water Rafting price:
$55 per person (10 years and older) for 3 to 4 hours. It is white water rafting and it is suggested for adults or older children to attend. Note: All the money if there is left (for example, 15 persons get 1 free for rafting etc), it will be used to buy awards for the kid event and games winners.
Common Fee:
Each family (2 adults and max 3 children, if more than 2 adults, every 1 adult will pay $10 extra) will charge $30 for common fee like campfire wood, food, plate, cup, games for the kids, awards�etc. If $30 is not enough to cover, we reserve the right to ask and pay extra fee.
Important Note: $30 cash will be collected on site. The money collected will be used to reimburse for the food, utensils each family bought.
Other Fees:
Activities outside of the campground such as golfing will be paid onsite individually. But you still need to register first to get head count.

7. Registration:
FULL - CLOSED
Late registration will be accepted ($20 per family). We will not reply and accept "Count me in etc kind of emails, you must register online.
Important Note: A confirmation email will be sent to you on July 28, 2008. If you registered and won�t hear from us by July 28, 2008, please send us an email at registration@pceclub.org.
